I just realized my public policy polling class is taught by Peter Hart (his firm does the NBC/WaPo poll, they were tied for 3rd in 2008)

Guest lecturers include:
Geof Garin - a big pollster/strategist that was part of Hillary's campaign
Frank Luntz - lol
David Binder - Obama's key ad tester
Joel Benenson - Obama's chief pollster

When he conducted a survey of knowledge of political figures and columnists, and he found out Rahm got more recognition than Axelrod, he got all giddy and wrote down a note to tell Rahm so that it goes to Rahm's head.

Awesome

I find that guy pretty funny, I wouldn't mind him teaching me... but only for a class that's not important to me.

Wouldn't it be difficult to understand him?

And I don't think Carville has figured out how campaigns work in the 21st century

There are certain things that Carville is completely clueless on these days, but a lot of his fundamentals are still valid.

I would take a class of his that was on dirty tricks, character assassination, and how to respond to them.  I feel that Carville is a pioneer of the rapid-response team as well as the underside of the campaign.

I'm just pretty psyched that I get to spent 3 hours a week hearing from *THE Peter Hart* and Obama's top media and polling people, as well as the most talented person on Clinton's team (Garin) that signed on way too late.  Luntz will be hilarious, he's an extreme doofus but knows how to manipulate rhetoric Republican-style so things come across brilliantly.

Joel Benenson is truly a five star guest.  I'd pay good money to hear him speak and I get to hear him speak next week in class Tongue

It is awesome Lunar. If I were a "Gay Bay" area denizen, I would try to audit the class.  Smiley

He had to leave class today for ten minutes because "someone everyone in the class would recognize" from the White House gave him a surprise cell call.

Does anyone have any good ideas for questions to go to into the latest NBC/WaPo poll?  If it’s good enough I’ll ask him to include it and if it’s good enough it’ll go into the poll released next Wednesday.

Tell him to like get some of his famous politics friends to get Atlas accounts and start posting.   Maybe Barack can make an attention whore thread and write about what's going on in the White House and just keep adding to it every week. I think me and Rahm would def be bro-dogs.

If you found out that your Senator repeatedly voted to filibuster President Obama's proposals in the Senate, would you be more likely to support them, less likely to support them, or would it make no difference?

Or something similar to measure the affect that the likely oncoming barrage of Republican obstructionism is going to have on people.

It needs to be perfect for me to submit it cause I'll only do 2-3, and even then it'll only be included if one of the country's top pollsters thinks it's interesting.  I think fillibustering is too weighty of a subject (the word has a lot more connotations when confronted with it in a question, but is kind of techncial for most people to get it).
