Yes, I'd be interested.  Wink  No, not totally for that reason.  Tongue  If I get one and it's junk, I can always say that I at least tried it out.

I'd prefer the Bravo but it looks like Americans will see the Grande Punto.

I hope to eventually live in a city where car-ownership isn't a requirement of daily life.

The American car culture is literally evil.

By the way, voting no on this means that you hate Europeans and (soon enough) the American worker.

Hell no.  You won't catch me dead in some jellybean-looking ginzo-mobile.  Tongue  Though I imagine I'll see some zip in my neighborhood with one.  I remember a few people driving Alfa Romeos when I was growing up.

Are you some kind of closet europhile? Tongue  One thing I love about America is that I don't have to look at cookie-cutter hatchbacks made by Fiat, Citroen, Pugeot, or Renault lined up on the sides of the street.  It's bad enough I have to see those silly looking Smart-mobiles (I'm going to pick one up and put it in a garbage can one of these days).

I need to be in a sedan, like a gentleman.

I like sedans as well. That's what I prefer. The Fiat Bravo is a sedan but I don't think that one will come to America.

You'd never see me in a Smart Car or something like that so no, I'm not some closet Europhile.  Tongue  I do like that we don't have the cookie cutter hatchbacks but at the same time, I'm not a fan of our obnoxiously large cars either. That being said, I don't go on giving lectures about how people don't really "need" them.

What's your problem with obnoxiously large cars?  Gas mileage?  Parking?  I'll have you know that the car pictured above is the Lexus LS600h.  It's a hybrid and parallel parks itself.  And it starts at only $110,000!  Now, if you don't like that, you either (1) don't care about your carbon footprint; (2) don't plan on parking your vehicle anywhere but your driveway; (3) have no sense of style or don't care "what your car says about you"; or (4) are a cheapskate.

Tongue

P.S.  Do you like how I assailed European cars, and immediately heaped praise and admiration onto a Japanese car? Grin

Haha, well, I didn't notice but I love Japanese cars, too. My family has been driving Japanese cars for years. I have a Honda Accord.

I've pretty much been taught that Japanese cars are by far the most superior vehicles on the planet and that an American car is never worth my time.  Tongue

Yup.  From what I understand, the Japanese cars consistently get the highest marks in Consumer Reports.  I have a Nissan Maxima.  I got it brand new in 2001 and have put over 80K miles on it,.  The only problem I've had is a burnt-out turning signal.

No. I only buy German cars. I don't believe I've never driven a car not called Mercedes.

I might by an old Fiat, just for fun, one day.. something like this:

Or this:

Or this:

But I don't think one could seriously use Fiats as daily transportation in the US.  Maybe here in Thailand.. small engines are more acceptable at the lower speeds, and repairs are much cheaper.

Haha of course not, I like cars that work. All my family's cars are German, and they're pretty good, though I also like Japanese cars. Anything else isn't really worth buying imo.
