is that a scale model of the relative size of Alaska to the continental US?

I've seen the overlay before and Alaska from the western tip of its Alleutians near Japan to the far southeastern tip near Juneau would stretch from Los Angeles to about Raleigh or there abouts.  That scale is off centered a bit.

Anyway, Sarah Palin could be a strong force in the Republican primaries.  She is smart to get something started now while we just now are approaching February 2009.  We're still 35 months from Iowa, so this is a perfect time to start raising money.

Or she could just be trying to get one of those senate seats...one is occupied by a moderate republican, the other...a Democrat.

I really really doubt she a) wants to be a legislator and b) she wants to move to DC for any reason other than being president

If I lived in Alaska, I would want to move to DC mainly because its usually warmer.
