For me:

Right wing: I believe in pretty much every free trade agreement that the U.S. is involved in.

Left wing: It would be a disaster if Social Security were to be privatized.

If you have many right wing and left wing positions, just pick one of each. Tongue

Right-wing:  I favor a "Marriage Amendment" defining marriage as a union between one man and one woman (though I do support civil unions)

Left-wing:  I favor universal health care

Right-people should be able to own fully automatic weapons

Left-victimless crimes shouldn't be crimes at all

Right: Drugs, booze, smoking, etc. (this is especially true on this forum.)

Left: Death penalty, I guess.  But that's not too uncommon... so "gun control" is probably closest to what you're asking.

Most of the positions mentioned are not left or right, but Democratic and Republican.

As for me:

Left: No tuition at public universities and universal healthcare

Right: Privatize all other markets

Great question.  Too tough for me to pick one on the left.  You guys tell me.  Which of these is my most left wing position...

1.    I support the legal right for gays and lesbians to marry, nationwide, not respecting state law.

2.    I support, in some circumstances, targeted price controls.

3.    I would support a move to remove any government-sponsored or taxpayer-financed religious expression from our coinage, government buildings, etc.

As to the position I am most conservative on...hmm...there sure aren't many.  I'm basically a moderate on guns, though the NRA would call me liberal.

I suppose the kind of war I advocate fighting would be regarded as conservative.  Though Roosevelt and Truman were the last Presidents to fight war this way.  I actually prefer the traditional Republican tendency toward LESS American intervention in the world.  But if we are attacked..."cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war".  Just point the dogs at the right country.

Social
Right: Give any muslims, mormons, Hindus or Jains residing in the US the choice of conversion to some relatively inoffensive form of christianity. Christian immigrants integrate notably faster, even when given same circumstances as Islamic migrants(Compare the situation in the US southwest with situations in euro cities)
Left: More or less entirely end government involvement with 'vices'.

Economic
Right: I favor the privatization of social security.
Left: I favor universal healthcare on the swiss model.

Foreign Policy
Right: I believe Chavez, Morales and Castro need to be overthrown and the peasantry in all three nations need to be put back in it's place.
Left: I support the unification of Mexico with the United States as several territories to solve the border issue.

Right-wing: I favor tough regulation on drugs, insofar as it does not overcrowd our prison population. Definitely against legalizing marijuana.
Left-wing: I'm against tax exemptions for churches, or pretty much any aid for religious institutions in general

Left-wing: complete opening of immigration policy + "amnesty"; or, maybe drug policy.
Right-wing: anti-subsidies, specifically for US agriculture.

Right: Hard to say. Immigration? Crime? Government waste? Getting out of the UN?
Left: Probably Gay Rights. Either that or Healthcare, I would prefer a system like France's.

Wow.  I actually agree with most of these positions save for the privatization of Social Security.
