Ignore

In any of the debates for the GOP nomination did Ron Paul ever say who he would envision as a running mate?  Some names I could imagine would have been anti-war house members like Walter Jones, Jim Duncan and John Hostettler.  Also, there was some little known Alaska governor (can't remember her name) who on a few occasions said things that implied she was opposed to the war in Iraq. (she said them before 2008).

Ron Paul.

(If he went for ideological purity, it would have been Jeff Flake. Or maybe Mark Sanford.)

whoever the VP was would have had to have more credibility than a Congressman.

I think only one candidate in history (Reagan before losing to Ford) announced his VP before securing the nominaton
