No, probably not. I've never seen the movie but I can only bet that you're exaggerating our similarities (if there even are any).

I never watched the movie, so I voted Phil because he's Phil.

She tries to convince the protagonist not to have an abortion with simplistic reasoning.

Succesfully though. The clincher basically being that her fetus has fingernails.

Ah, so I use "simplistic reasoning." Thank you.

So we're "very similar" because we're both Pro Life and we apparently both use the same tactics that you likely find hilarious and idiotic? Oh...ok.

Never watched the movie. The reviews made it sound like it wasn't serious about the true effects and consequences of teen pregnancy. So I didn't want to be a pawn in some sick Hollywood producer's hand and so I didn't watch and I never will.

It's an independent film, not a Hollywood one.

It hardly matters.

Seriously?  It wasn't a political movie at all.

Agreed.  If there was a motive behind it, it was subtle and lost on me.  It was just a well done teen movie.  You won't be missing much if you never see it, but not seeing it because you're afraid it might brainwash you (or, God forbid, make fun of you and your kind) is sort of silly.

When will you people learn that a "political film" is code for "films which don't agree with my worldview and are thus bad".

Good spot for the resembalance BRTD, wouldn't have thought of that.

BUT ITS DIFFERENT WHEN I DO IT!!!1!11

(Btw I don't think 300 is a political film, at least not in the way you meant. Very few films are, even ones about politics are rarely political in that they have a "political message".)
