Caltech for undergrad

Going to grad school next year; so far I have been accepted at the University of Chicago and Northwestern.

PiT, why didn't you apply to Caltech?  Assuming you're set on science/math/engineering, it's a great place.  I don't know what your statistics are like, but judging your intelligence from your posts, I don't see how you're at all worried about Davis.

The University of California at Santa Barbara. (UCSB)

I have a good friend who goes there. If you ever meet a Korean kid named Andy

Um, I hate to break it to you how the UC system works, but there's going to be a hundred Korean kids named Andy that you'll meet in your first eight minutes of school.  It's gonna  be a big shock for you to go from 10 person classes to 800 person classes yo

Thats so true! There are so many Asians here! Its like Hong Kong over here!

Start numbering the Grace Kim's

I find Jennifer Lee's are more common

Or is it Jennifers Lee?

The great Red and Black -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University Rangers in Alva, Oklahoma, an NAIA school.  I must say, though, that I got just as good of an education from NWOSU as those who went to an Ivy League school, but for a LOT less.

Completely false, but lie to yourself if that's what you need to do.

Are you saying that NWOSU is inferior quality to the Ivy's?

Uhh...duh?

Chortlesnort... he's actually not entirely incorrect.  Studies have shown that, after other variables are accounted for, a college education is a college education no matter where you go, and shows itself in earnings just the same.  The problem is that there's a huge confound: rich kids go to rich schools and have rich jobs after they graduate.

Earnings are a poor way to measure education.
