I suppose that this is about any candidate, presidential or otherwise. That is a stupid reason to live (or not to live) in a given county, though it could tell me more about that county's politics in general.

Only an idiot like BRTD would consider that factor.

I can't think of a single McCain county I'd want to live in, but that's not because they voted McCain.

No, but there are a lot of Conservative constituencies I wouldn't want to live in, but not because of their awful political choices. Mostly because they're boring places.

I grew up in an area that didn't typically favour my candidates and have spent most of my life in those sorts of areas. I've given quite a bit of time to those sorts of campaigns when they're short on numbers, too (although I probably spend more time campaigning in swing areas).

Why? I like extremely urban locations as everyone knows. Find me one that voted for McCain.

Ok lets say 20 years from now "extremely urban locations" vote republican and you still vote democrat, would you move or still stay there since you like the vibe. If it is the latter then you should have voted no on this poll.

What could possibly result in that?

Besides I live currently now in one of those young hipster neighborhoods, which are the type of thing I like, not slums like Detroit. I like culture. And such places aren't going to be voting Republican.

I'm Libertarian, so not really much choice there, but even if there were counties that did support our candidates strongly I wouldn't move there just for that reason.

Leave it to BRTD to miss the point entirely.

I've lived in countries where they send you to reeducation camps for opposing the government, so yes.
