This is from Lake Research, which is a (D) firm, but that shouldn't impact their primary numbers, at least. (And the GE is too far away to be meaningfully polled.)

Brown: 27
Villaraigosa: 20
Newsom: 14
Garamendi: 8
Westly: 3
O'Connell: 1

Brown: 41
Poizner: 30

Brown: 43
Whitman: 27

Newsom: 38
Poizner: 27

Newsom: 40
Whitman: 25

(No Villaraigosa match-ups.)

At this point it's mostly name recognition.  (not that having good name recognition doesn't give you an early advantage - but things will likely narrow a bit once other candidates declare).

Antonio's baseline numbers aren't actually that worse than Jerry's, surprisingly so.

Weird that Poizner loses support against Newsom compared to the Brown matchup.

The Dem field is simultaneously amazing and awful...
