Aw.

Feinstein probably won't run now that she's chair of the intelligence committee and getting up there in seniority anyway.

Feinstein won't run, thankfully. I'm pulling for Brown and Newsom, either one would be fine with me.

If We See a Newsom Victory in the Primaries, I think we will see a Whitman Victory in the General.

"Whether you like it or not, It's gonna happen!"

A factual statement taking down a politician. Interesting.....

Anyways all I hope for is that our next governor realizes that California needs to be taxed more efficiently and that it needs to spend more efficiently. I am asking for too much though.

Hopefully this won't be the case. Whitman's probably the worst candidate the Right could put up.

not the worst.  Random state senator from parts-of-Southern-California-that-no-one-cares-about is the worst, and most likely the challenger to Boxer.  Whitman at least has the cash money $$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!

Money is huge considering how expensive running in California is, though I think one needs a modicum of likability to really get bang for one's buck.

Do you think there is any practical chance of getting a governor( and legislature) that changes our taxation system AND lower spending? I don't think so.

You're totally right. It's no wonder Newsom is the only candidate on the list with higher unfavorable over favorable ratings. He essentially destroyed all hopes of shifting to the center thanks to the battle over Prop 8.

Meg Whitman's face looks like it was run over by a pickup truck.  Strongly disapprove.

LOL

I hate her because she was a CEO. Just what we need another sleezbag in office.

Why do so many Republicans thinks a corporate CEO would make a good candidate?  Don't they know CEO's are almost unviersally despised at this point?

I have no interest in seeing Bill Simon Redux.

Jerry Brown v Tom Campbell would be my dream match up. Only because it would benefit me most, and probably California too.

You'll love the Republican primary. It has a CEO, another CEO, and a business school dean.

You aren't seriously suggesting that Campbell's time as an academic economist is the smae as being a corporate CEO, are you?  Because running an academic institution is not the same.  The perception of academics is nowhere near as negative as the perception of CEOs and the reality is that being an academic is more honorable.
