Why do so many Republicans thinks a corporate CEO would make a good candidate?  Don't they know CEO's are almost unviersally despised at this point?

I have no interest in seeing Bill Simon Redux.

I hate her because she was a CEO. Just what we need another sleezbag in office.

You'll love the Republican primary. It has a CEO, another CEO, and a business school dean.

You aren't seriously suggesting that Campbell's time as an academic economist is the smae as being a corporate CEO, are you?  Because running an academic institution is not the same.  The perception of academics is nowhere near as negative as the perception of CEOs and the reality is that being an academic is more honorable.
