I like the term "Birther" (which appears to have been coined by Politico itself a few weeks ago). It expresses how similar this view is to being a Truther.

Although Mark Pryor said senate, it's true when he said you don't need to take an IQ test to get in. Smiley

For the record I think one of the Democratic candidates for House in Florida in 2004 was a "Truther", so this just further proves it.

Osceola County, too, so that will have changed with 2008. And he's a freshman. Do I smell a Democratic challenge? Of course, he won by 11 points last year, but his opponent was Random Doctor.

This could be an effective way for the Dems to bring out a high black turnout in the midterms.  Only the crazies and far righters believe this "Obama isn't a real citizen" nonsense so pushing that opinion on the Republican party as a whole could effectively mobilize the black vote and continue prying independents and moderates away from the GOP.

This is correct.  If the Democrats minus Obama can publicize this as much as possible they have a LOT to gain.  African-American turnout will be slightly, slightly, helped in the 2010 midterms if all of the crazies start coming out in force.  This would at most translate into one seat.
