No (D). I would imagine conservatives are more likely to follow this patriarchal tradition.

No, but only because my uncle thought he would have a son; otherwise, I would've been David Constine IV.

No. My Grandad was the last in a very long line of Joseph's in his family though, but I don't think they ever did the suffix thing (which seems very American really).

I have the same name as my father, grandfather and great-grandfather, but we have different middle names so...

No (I/O). Though if I were connected to the Spanish side through my maternal grandfather rather than my maternal grandmother, I would have been Santiago Quintas II.

No, and if I had one, I would be tempted to legally delete it. They annoy me.

Same with my family; 'James Bartlett' with small variations in middle name (James Joseph Freame, James Freame, James Gordon Freame etc) but never any jnr. or III or anthing. My brother was James, my dad a Jamie, and his dad a Jim.

Yes.  I'm a "Jr."

My family has 3 Pauls and 4 Josephs.  I'll probably name my first son Paul, but I might give him a middle name (me and my father don't have middle names) because the "III" suffix seems weird to me.

No. The only thing my family does is make everyone have the same initials and/or make sure that the first letter of our middle name is the last letter of our first name.
