There's a difference. Bush never trailed in Florida, so Gore has no rightful claim.

Click for context. I can't quite put my finger on why I find this so funny.

The "it's for the children" argument is the last refuge of a scoundrel.  My constitutional rights don't diminish because a child is present.

No but if a child is present with a gun he may shoot you.

"Swindle" is a fairly unfortunate last name for a politician.

Why should a homosexual serve on the Supreme Court?  They obviously don't know what's right for themselves; why should they be issuing decisions that will affect millions of Americans?  A queer justice will also have a personal interest in having gay marriage legalized, making them more likely to legislate from the bench.

Win:

What ?

The guy was shouting: "Stop killing babies".

And the crowd responded with: "Yes, we can."

WTF ?

Freudian slip by the crowd

That's what happens when you try to talk to people in a trance.  One would think Austrians would know about this better than other people, guess not...

I was supportive of the whole "Love at first sight" thing. But not "marriage at first sight." I would expect you of all people on this forum to want people to take marriage and relationships seriously and maturely.

As I said in the other thread, I have my own opinions on marriage but to mock the guy about it is wrong. Posting his Facebook status here is even worse.

I also think BushOK has some...issues...so to make fun of him about this is even more cruel.

I find it interesting that the people that mock BushOK are being judgemental (when they'll be the first to lecture conservatives when they happen to be judgemental) and they also happen to be the people most in favor of marriage between any two consenting adults that simply love each other.

I don't think those are really comparable things. I don't think it should be illegal for 12-day marriages to occur, unlike opponents of same-sex marriage who think it should be. I would also be skeptical of any couple, hetero- or homosexual, that chose to get married that quickly.

I'm not comparing attidues on legality; I'm talking about general attitudes/judging in both situations. If this is only about love, shut your mouth and "don't judge."

I don't have any problem with you or anyone else having a negative opinion of a same-sex marriage. That's your right to judge it, just as it's my right to judge whatever else I want.

That all being said, I really do hope the marriage works out and I'm not instantly tossing it aside as ridiculous. I'm just, as I sad earlier, skeptical. I hope I'm wrong.

Mr Stark,

The first thought that came to mind when i clicked on your website, was is this created by a 4 year old.  Not only is it barley functional but it at best retreads previous links.  On top of that you cant even define your positions on there. Your position statements are all one sentence filler. If a fifth grader made this website he would probably get a good grade sadly though this was made by a person who actually considered himself electable in a great state like California. Its amazing truly amazing that such a great person as yourself was looked over especially since you put such thought, time, and effort into his website and his issues platform.  Your contributions in the state house will be sorely missing.

Nelson isn't a strong incumbent. His opponent was Katherine Harris in 2006.

Scratch that. I'm  gonna go Constitution party on y'all.

Have you ever taken a look at the Constitution Party's platform? Or have any vague idea what it stands for?

In Atlasia we have taken a very bad path in regards to cultural permisiveness. It is my belief that the Senate made a very bad decision legalizing so many drugs, starting with Marijuana.

If you are going to legalise pornography you might as well take it all the way and push it to the limit.

But it only gets worse when you know that it doesn't stop there. No its not enough that teens will be having porn and drugs. These radical communists will not stop still our children have entered the gates of Sodom. Prostitution has become socially acceptable and soon the laws will represnt the values of Opebo.

we need to restore our culture. Join me and help save Atlasia from its odious fate.

I cant say how dumb...

In fairness, the speech sounded better in its original German.
