What a hilarious match up that would be! I love that Palin and Young hate each other. I didn't know she refused to endorse Young in 2008 so that's great but apparently she has backed the stupid effort to get Begich to resign (while Young laughs off that idea).

That would make a hell of a sitcom.

''The Geezer and the MILF".
Watch in our next episode: hillarity ensues as old Ted tries to school feisty Sarah about the wonders of a series of tubes, aka The Internets.

I thought of this myself.

Stevens, Murkowski, and Young are all in the same corrupt, old-guard faction in the state.  Palin could arguably be called a similar term, but it's not about getting suitcases full of money.

The Palin faction's raison d'etre is not ending the corruption, it's renegotiating the kickbacks.

I've just been wondering as to why, and a quick google found this.

Never mind the circumstances, he still won. Why should he resign for simply winning?

And somebody needs to primary Palin.

They're saying he only won because of Stevens being falsely accused. It's silly.

Donald Young is wacko.  If it weren't for Palin, his worthless ass wouldn't even be in Washington now.

After Palin wanted Stevens back in the Senate, I wouldn't have any sympathy for her if Stevens did do this.

Maybe Palin hates Young so much because Young wouldn't pray with/for her on the campaign trail like the rest of the McCain campaign Tongue lol

or maybe they are arguing over which of them is closer to Russia Smiley

That sure would be some primary: Murkowski, Palin and Young. Poor Lisa. She's crippled and already the other big guns in the state are gunning up for her. I wonder who the Democrats' candidate is going to be. My money's on Tony Knowles or Ethan Berkowitz, depending upon who the GOP candidate is, but either way you know the seat will be held by any generic Republican. Murkowski knocked off Knowles in 2004 and Young defeated Berkowitz this year. It'll be quite interesting, to say the least!

The only good thing if Palin wins is that Tina Fey might return to SNL to take her down again Cheesy

Tina Fey should run for office in Alaska!

There is one problem with that.

Tina Fey doesn't know anything, except that there are 50 states in the Union.

That's already more than Sarah Palin will ever know.

You don't write for and host Weekend Update for years without some familiarity with the issues.

I'm not saying she's at all qualified to be Governor of any state, but this isn't like naming Renee Zellweger or one of the Jonas Brothers.

Ted won't run, but I wouldn't be surprised if his son did.  He's the senate majority leader and along with the democratic minority leader (his name is Hollis French) they approved all the federal aid that queen Sarah didn't want.

Palin's antics are starting to get on my nerves. My main objective is seeing the state of Alaska rid of Ted Stevens and his son, Don Young and the Murkowski family. I hope to god that both Murkowski and Young are primaried in 2010. If Palin wanted the GOP to win the senate seat in 2008 she should have forced Stevens out and put someone honest in there. Whether or not the convictions were overturned Steven's was and still is a crook. Palin could have done more to help Sean Parnell beat Young primarily by getting the spoiler out of the race. But thats what organised state parties with smart leadership do, thats too complicated for Palin to understand more or less accomplish.
