I suggest Hughento dropout and be Nation's VP. That way the whole party will be united Smiley

Does anyone actually WANT to be VP?  Or is this the job you can't pay someone to take?

I'll be vp! That would mean I would have to drop out of the District 1 senate race though.

I'm afraid you can't be NYGOP, you and Nation are from the same homestate and we have a law against that.

I see. I didn't want to abandon my senate race anyhow.

Let's see...  While the Veep has no actual power other than tie-breaking the Senate, s/he still has to preside over the Senate.

All of the responsibility
None of the power

I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to be VP Smiley

Well although the VP is President of the Senate. We mostly have the PPT doing all the "work". Andrew just recently did work as President of The Senate opening votes instead of the PPT, a first for the Vice-President I believe....

As far as I can tell, there would be nothing unconstitutional about a candidate running for VP on two different tickets.

Nation does need to declare a running mate, however.

I propose we include Don as our VP candidate.  It's up to Nation of course.

If Don would like to switch, I am open to that, but he has made clear his disagreements with me, and it would be un-gentlemanlike of me to try and coax him into being my runningmate.

If King would like to give up his senate seat in order to let JFK take it back, I believe that would be a VERY classy move, and it would still allow him to run again in 2 months if I am to lose the election.

That would be one of the major reasons I've suggested it Cheesy and of course King is very active.

King is a strong supporter of the H/H ticket and agrees more with our views and values.

Have you considered the current VP for this spot on the ticket?

Ineligible, according to the Constitution. Of course, the Constitution's been broken enough it probably woudn't matter.

Well, JFK's return to the Senate would be in the best interest in my party, a VP spot would be nice, I could always run again in 5B, and as last resort, early retirement. Smiley

So it is official then, I will NOT seek re-election to the Senate in 5A.

Will you run on the Nation ticket then, King? I have backups (no names) but if you'd like the spot, I'll give it to you.
