Hey everyone, so I'll be gone from Wednesday night around 6 pm until Saturday night around 8pm for Passover. I would like to appoint an acting PO to run the Convention while I'm gone. Nothing huge, but if any new motions come up those should be handled.

Anyone interested please PM me or post here. I will put up a vote on this later tonight or tomorrow morning.

I would suggest Afleitch for the time being, just throwing a name out there.

I really need some communication from the delegates on this.

Afletich will be away for the same period, so that would not be helpful unfortunately.

Because there doesn't seem to be very much advancing of motions, more of just a debate at the moment, I could simply not appoint anyone and let debate continue. I will be gone for about 73 hours, so there would be no chance for an acting officer to be approved by the delegates before my return. Does anyone have a moral or principled objection to this? Or should we just allow debate to continue while I am away?

I would be willing to be the acting presiding officer. I would just need to know if there is a specific post or topic I could look to that neatly enumerates what I can & can't do.

Alright, because it is so early into the Convention, I find it unlikely that there will be any pressing motions that need to be put up in the next three days. If there is no objection, I will not be appointing an acting presiding officer while I am away. I will be returning Saturday night.
