Romney's economic policies wouldn't exactly have endeared him to Ohio....no way he carries it in 2008.
His credibility on economic issues would've pushed him over the top. McCain only lost there by 2 points.

Alright, if Republicans gain less than 75 seats, I'll prominently display my failure in my signature.

McCain lost by FOUR points. And that's because he was an appealing choice culturally to those Appalachians, working class whites.
I doubt they would had behaved the same if Obama's alternative was a Massachusets multimillionaire whose whole presence screamed ''FAKE''.

He wouldn't have had any credibility on them in Ohio, as Ohio is not an economically right wing state.

Romney = Dick DeVos, and we know how
his
campaign in a struggling industrial state turned out...

Romney and Huckabee would've done better than McCain in the general election, however, why waste someone like that if your party is guaranteed to lose anyways? Let them wait until 2012. However, I do think that John McCain was the best choice for president out of the 2008 Republican candidates. It's just that he didn't do the best out of the bunch.

Why would Romney win NC when McCain couldn't?

Huck would have won at least one Obama county, mine! Newton County went for Obama 50-49, and with a more energized southern-conservative base, Huckabee would have won it.

I'm not sure if this new tendency to appeal to the apparent inherent evil of Xahar in all things even remotely related to forum policing or this damn game is especially helpful.

Romney will carry Indiana, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and New Hampshire in 2008 and probably hold Ohio and Florida.
