To protect those who got the most votes without being eliminated just makes no sense.
Yes it does - of a sort.

What it patently is not is fair, though.

We can't bring in new people in the middle of the game. This isn't Big Brother.

Another embarassing round for the forum. Sigh.
What's so embarrassing about eliminating Harper and Douglas?
Harper is an idiot but that group still includes lots of joke countries and a rather dubious character in Colom. Which really belonged busted before. Of course Harper lost because people have a deservedly soft spot for San Marino and refused to get on that train and there were other joke country alternatives.

I note that Hugh's tiebreaking votes have declined in value. They used to be half votes, now they're just quarter.

that was a one-off, to distinguish it as a tie-break vote.
I figured, but it's a memorable event nonethesame.

Lewis: I know, and I respect your attitude to this thing so far. I didn't vote for Bayar simply because I tried to save Harper.
Oh, I do that all the time as well.

Except that, to me, there are relatively few politicians worth saving by this late in the game. Smiley

I wanted to change my vote from Spencer to the Samoan guy after seeing that the attempt to save Thinley had failed, but the bracket was already locked. Sad

1) Are there any leaders who should be swapped over for someone else who has more power in their country? Have they left office, or maybe the PM is more important than the President?
Too late now. Nobody should be swapped.

I rather enjoyed the occasional weird rules (including the silly different immunities). Nothing of the kind for the final 20, though, please.

The ninth round has completed, with five eliminated leaders:

Group Four:

Omar Bongo, Gabon: 8 votes

He died yesterday.

I also remind the left of the early departures of Harper, Sarkozy, Calderon, Berlusconi...

I'm suing you in Britain on behalf of the Association of Character Witnesses for Steven Harper and Felipe Calderón.
Being listed in one breath with these jokes is libel. Smiley

Well, yes, i'd've voted to oust Berlusconi when he was ousted to, but...I needed more examples Cheesy
Alright, I'll defer on filing suit until the next time you displease me in breaking a tie. Cheesy

Since I have nothing to do in a survivor thread where rightist trolls have now taken the whole control, I announce that I will no more take part in it. Thanks to every good-faith and good-willing users for having tried to do something serious.

Chill. Please. Just chill. Or organize a counter vote-bloc if chilling is beyond your abilities. But I prefer you just chill.

Why does this forum love South Asia so much?
You know the line about how a friend is someone you know well but like despite that?
Most of this forum doesn't know South Asia well. Tongue
