James Michel (Seychelles)

Read a bit about Seychelles, its former president René and his heir Michel, and you'll see he must go before Uribe.

Oh, so he took over from a guy who was a dictator, but then ruled as a basically democratic ruler for the last 10 or so years of his rule, and also thwarted the South African apartheid regime, and then his successor took over in democratic elections and has governed fairly since?

Not as bad as running death squads.

Uribe.

He hates democracy, he hates Quebec and the French language, he hates the environment, he hates gays, he hates culture and the arts and so much more. On the other hand, he loves ultraconservatism, plagiarism, and George W. Bush.

Oh, my God ! Shocked How didn't I know a similar guy ?
When USA chose progressism, Canada regresses electing a new George Bush ? That's a pity.

Uribe.

On tiny countries, Wikipedia isn't enough, as it is written by guys who have some interests in these countries...

Michel was democratically elected as Kabila was. I think Seychelles are even a bit less democratic than Uganda.
You see, "Françafrique", with its corrupt and undemocratic leaders, is also a truth for former "progressists" countries (Seychelles, Guinea and, at the time, Benin, Mali, Congo).

While I'm no fan of Stephen Harper, Hashemite's views are extremely exaggerated. Harper is actually governing to the left of Obama.
