The only particularly impressive thing about Memento was the twist ending and the cool shooting of the black and white scenes.

Those about which I think:

The glamorous life of Sachiko Hanaï
Un film parlé
O'brother
La traversée de Paris
Monty Python Holy Grail
Monty Python Life of Brian
Full Metal Jacket
Fight Club (it let me a good memory when I saw it but I wonder if it would be the same now...)
The first part of Dr. Strangelove
Ten commandments, so caricatured but let me a good memory when I was a kid

Plus a film that I don' remember the title, but great, the main character was interpreted by a Monty Python IIRC and was nammed Constance Gardener, a film from 70s or 80s.

Plus several films with Louis de Funès.

Plus some I forget...

WHo was that star of the late 50s and 1960s who was rather thin.. what was his name.. died fairly young I think... very big star.. serious actor..

Euh... James Dean??

Papy fait de la résistance
Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis
Meet the Parents
Downfall
Goodbye Lenin
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
La Cage aux Folles I
Les Aristos
The Kingdom
La Grande Séduction
Defiance

Honourable mentions to Taxi 2 (or 3, not sure), The Barbarian Invasions, Asterix and Cleopatra, the last two Cage aux Folles and so fort.

That is one strange movie!  I give it an A for effort....for trying to be different in an interesting way....but I can't fairly include it in any list of my own favorites.

I am not sure I could contain it to ten or 15.  Hmmm...Well...

A Man For All Seasons (1966)
Pulp Fiction
Unforgiven
In The Heat of the Night
Double Indemnity
Seven (I refuse to say Se7en)
The Color Purple
12 Angry Men
The Godfather 1 & 2
Alien
There Will Be Blood
Apocalypse Now Redux
Casablanca
Platoon
Saving Private Ryan

And I have to admit -- (I know this will get me flamed) --  Eyes Wide Shut has really grown on me.

Nicole Kidman's ass was the only worthwhile thing in that movie at all.
