think about it.

cow dies to feed a man
cow goes to heaven
then man dies and goes to heaven
then man eats the cow again? that's not fair

that clears it up. i was wondering if the cow would then go to "higher heaven". or it was just reappear to be eaten again.

but i still must inquire...

why do cows not have souls?

if we prod them do they not feel pain?
if we offer them water do they not drink?
if we squeeze the utter does it not produce milk?

what do we eat in heaven if we can't have animals

None of those things require a soul.

Joseph Smith promised his followers 'eternal celestial sex', so I'll let you connect the dots.

well according to my sources in heaven you don't eat. you don't drink. you don't laugh or cry.  all you do is sit in front of god and feel his presence for all eternity. that sounds horrible in my humble opinion.

but this eternal celestial sex thing... does intrigue me...

There absolutely will be food.  The book of Revelation talks about the marriage supper of the Lamb (the Lamb being Jesus Christ) where all of God's children will feast at God's table and have everything they could ever want or need.

And, Dibble, in hell you don't get to eat.  All you get to do for eternity is burn, baby, burn and never die.  Its where the worm dieth not.  You would want so much to just deexist, but that is not an option.

To answer Aizen's question, There will be so much to do in heaven its not funny.  I don't know what all will go on, but I can't wait to find out.  I do know that we will be praising God for eternity and we will feel His presence over us and that will be a glorious thing.  It will be more fun than you think.  We will get to reconnect with our loved ones that have gone on before us who were believers as well as all those from Adam to Abraham to Moses to King David, the Apostle Paul, Timothy, Matthew, Peter, etc.

No, you're mistaken, Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, referring to the lambs that were sacrificed in the Old Testament.  That's not necessarily what we will be eating.  I don't know what exactly will be on the menu, but I do know it will be the best meal I will ever have eaten.

Plus, we are the sheep and Jesus is the Good Shepherd.  Its not talking about actual animals.

Oh no...

I love how the elders interpreted the world in the past, and I love the biblical interpretations and explications of what they know and didn't know, but, hell, please...

Oh, OK, the one can't know, ultimately...

The logistics of heaven, at least theologically, really is thread bare. It's sort of unusual to categorize what occurs and what doesn't in heaven.

No. Only people in hell get to eat. Ironic, no?

Rumor is that those in Hell eat... what comes from the other end of the alimentary canal.

The souls in Heaven ... if there is a heaven ... are obviously are far enough up on Maslow's hierarchy of needs that food is no concern... and probably not a need.

Now, here's a more interesting question:

Do our little killing machines -- cats -- go to Heaven? No animal more frequently kills sentient creatures.

We're pretty consistent in saying that because animals do not have souls, they do not go to Heaven.
