I like to do these every once in a while.

Today I made homemade French onion soup (with homemade croutons and good swiss cheese) and a spinach salad with a warm bacon/mustard vinaigrette.

It was a delicious meal for sitting on the deck and eating.  Pleasant temperatures, no bugs to speak of, and it isn't getting dark until around 9pm now.

Pork chops cooked on the barbie (with a bit of apple sauce on top). A green bean soup bisque using the blender, or maybe zukes sauteed with garlic gloves and some spices in olive oil.  A glass of red wine - I haven't decided what variety yet. Pumpkin seeds (the protein gram count thingy stalks me).  If I get the munchies later, maybe a couple of tortilla chips with spicy salsa, or humus on them.

Man I am getting hungry!  Smiley

Ya, that would be good. Both chips and bread are naughty for me, but well, just for the memories, in small quantities ...

Don't get old; it sucks.

Plain old Spaghetti with Prego.  And a tossed salad.  I don't cook and the Mrs. was pressed for time.

I'm crossing my fingers for beef noodle soup tomorrow, though!

Hey.. why not go out with a bang (or rather, a flavorful, but ultimately untimely and premature cardiac arrest)
