I am sorry to hear that your mother and your family are going through this.  Watching over loved ones and not being able to help is very frustrating and depressing.  Your family and your mother are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.  The fact that she is communicating is a reassuring sign, and I hope it is a sign of better things to come.  But if that isn't the case, know that she is happy that you are there with her in her most trying times.

It turned out she had a bleeding gastric ulcer and lost lots of blood. But now she is recovering and left hospital today ... Smiley
