One of the techniques of hoplaphobes is to file frivilous lawsuits (often with taxpayer money) which they know they won't "win," but which they use to harass those exercising their constitutional rights.

Today, in the case of Ileto v. Glock (originally filed in 2000) the 9th Cir. Court of Appeals affirmed that federal law protects against such frivilous lawsuits, although the court sought to limit the scope of the federal law.

It will be interesting to see if the major media reports this case (Nordyke had little coverage).
