Hilarious (bolded part might be the best)

From Politics1:

ARKANSAS. State Senator Kim Hendren ( R), the current frontrunner to challenge US Senator Blanche Lincoln (D) next year, is drawing heat for referring to US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) as “that Jew.” The speech was given to Pulaski County Republican Party activists. Hendren quickly apologized: “At the meeting I was attempting to explain that unlike Senator Schumer, I believe in traditional values ... I made the mistake of referring to Senator Schumer as ‘that Jew’ and I should not have put it that way as this took away from what I was trying to say." State Senator Gilbert Baker and former US Attorney Tim Griffin are both considering running against Hendren in the GOP primary. Arkansas, a state which Barack Obama lost by over 20 points, is expected to be targeted by the NRSC.

LOL. So much for Lincoln getting a well funded serious challenger.

Hendren is just the current frontrunner. I'm guessing that former U.S. Attorney would be a big deal candidate.

Anyone else remember Fay Boozman and "God's little shield"?

Hendren calling Schumer a Jew won't matter in Arkansas, might even help.  What does matter is that Lincoln is taking Republican positions on all the issues, leaving Kim with nothing to campaign on.

I tend to agree.

Without even clicking on it, I'm going to say it's the McConnell 2008 ad about $chumer.

Dude, the ads put out by both national Senatorial committees are best examples of double standards. They're hilarious on both ends. Go watch a few on each committee's website and see if you don't come away hating politics.

It's like the NRSC blasting Lautenberg for having NJ come in last in amount of tax dollars brought home each year. What's their point? If it wasn't NJ, it would have been some other state and that state might just happen to have a Republican Senator that they have to defend. Would they be running the same ad? Of course not. Same goes with the Dems. It's a big joke.

Or the ads attacking Scott Murphy for creating jobs overseas instead of here at home?

Exactly and I guarantee the Dems didn't make a deal out of that at all.

SSP says there are two other potential candidates, including the above-mentioned US attorney: "Curtis Coleman, the CEO of SafeFoods (a "food-safety services company," whatever that is) and a close friend of Mike Huckabee, announced formation of his exploratory committee this week. Former US Attorney and Rove protege Tim Griffin may also get in; he's announced a June 1 deadline for deciding. "

I couldn't care less.  I'll just say that Chuck Schumer believes in traditional values.

Heh, I caught that as well. Using "that Jew" to question someone's family values is amusing.
