I'm amazed that the '69 Jets can pull off any wins a tall.  They were not a great team.

Why are the undefeated Dolphins team going 3-7?

Oh, and two games baby! Had a three game streak there. Luck is over though.

Because the 1972 Dolphins are the most over-rated team in NFL history.  They played one of the weakest schedules in the history of the league.

Still, undefeated. They were good enough to win the Superbowl.

And if they had had to play a schedule comparable to that of this years Steelers, who played a 9 game stretch where they didn't play a single team who finished the season with the losing record, instead of opponents with a combined winning percentage of less than .350, then they likely wouldn't have made the playoffs.

Well I am far out of my football knowledge here. Wink

Not to mention that, in the playoffs, they played a team that finished second in its division (Browns), a team that was in only its 3rd playoff game in its history (Steelers... and these were the pre-Stallworth, Swann, Lambert, etc Steelers), and the Redskins, who were infamous for burning out at the end of the season, because Allen insisted on stocking a roster of guys over 30.

ok folks, with one week left, one playoff spot is in the air.

The games are as follows:

SFS @ ANC
SFH @ ARI
OMA @ LV
RAL @ ALT
ARL @ ANN
JOL @ GRE
OTT @ NY

Should Raleigh (6-7) defeat Alton (9-4), they'll make the playoffs. Should they lose and Annapolis (5-8) defeat Arlington (11-2), they'll make the playoffs. Chances are both will lose, And Raleigh will slip in the playoffs with a losing record.

Also, top spot in the west is still up for grabs. Omaha needs to win to clinch it or an Alton loss.

And most excitingly, no playoff matchups are set yet.

Raleigh Tarheels - PIT 06 - North Carolina Yankee

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess that you actually wanted the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers, the team that won Super Bowl XL (which was in the year 2006 but in the 2005 season), not the 8-8 Steelers of the following year who lost over half their games during the first half of the season.

Damn it. I knew something was wrong.
