I will also be endorsing Yankee. We may disagree on most issues, but, he's always willing to at least listen to the other side. And anyway, it's not like he's going to get defeated. Tongue Wink

                                                       HELLO NASHVILLE!!!
Ladies and Gentleman of this fine state, I come before you today to once again ask for your vote for Southeast Senate. Today we face a nation that is spiraling downward and once we desperately need strong leadership to confront our country’s problems and ensure a bright future for ourselves, our kids, our grandkids, and all future generations. It is for that reason that I run again to be your Senator. In Atlasia today, we have a crisis of apathy, of inactivity. We have a system whose deficiencies put us in a “downward spiral” of inactivity. I was fortunate to be able to introduce a bill this session which fixed oversights in previous legislation. Several new positions had been created but they had not been incorporated into the order of succession to the Presidency. This created a potential crisis down the road. It is for this reason that we need strong independent organizations like Peter’s Renaissance caucus to catch such lapses and offer legislation to correct them.

I have always been willing to introduce bills for other people so that I might give them a voice in the Senate. This session I introduced bills from my constituents dealing with balanced budgets and restricted the use of unhealthy sugar substitutes. As we move forward I plan to introduce legislation to improve flood readiness and issue which I am sure many of you are keenly interested and concerned about. I also want plan to continue to work with our Governor and making sure that the newly created assembly is a success and that we can be an example and not an embarrassment.

It is also important to not forget our core values, or limited government, of keeping taxes down and effectively structured to encourage growth, economic development, and job creation. We also need to make sure that regional powers are not usurped by the federal government and that equal power is maintained for regions in the Atlasian Senate.

We also must face reality, we face the imminent situation of having a committed socialist one life away from the Presidency. With this situation existing we must have a strong conservative voice who will hold the likely new administration accountable and fight back against any potential liberal measures that could arise. I look forward to working with the new President in making important reforms that will encourage activity and move us forward.

For our future, our ideals, our values, Vote Yankee For Senate!!!

Press Release -
With regret we must announce the cancellation of appearences by Senator Yankee in Memphis, New Orleans, Biloxi and Mobile do to an unforseen eye condition that has made it impossible to make those appearences. The Senate hopes to hit the trail again starting on Saturday with his appearence in Dallas.

- Yankee4Senate Committee

Press Release -
I would like to condemn the vile, unethical, and underhanded smear campaign which my opponent is engaging in. It has come to my attention that the campaign of GPorter is PMing people with lies about my record and gross miss interpretations of laws and reasoning behind votes I call on the candidate to stop such actions. I have decided to refuse to agree to any debates with the candidate till he stops these slanders of my record.

Charleston, SC - Good evening, friends. As I stand here, overlooking the harbor, the gentle breeze blowing against my face and the smell of pluff mud filling my nostrils, I can only think of one thing, and one thing only, getting Senator Yankee reelected. You guessed it! I am eating, drinking and sleeping this wish, and the only way to fulfill it is for all of you to follow my lead and vote for Yank come election day. Otherwise, our borders will be overrun with illegal immigrants that yours truly wants to give amnesty to. Yankee is our only hope! Plus, I think you all would be unhappy if your favorite son was unhappy, amirite?

Understand the sacrifice I am making, standing up there today. Not only is Yankee my superior, he’s also better looking, drinks less, and is a smarter, more approachable version of me. He’s also better with the kids. You’d think I’d be jealous, but I’m not. It’s a pleasure to be underneath Senator Yankee. Wink

All jokes aside, it’s important we get him back into the Senate. I’m no war horse as I’m just beginning my second term, but Yankee has shown the competence, ability to work with others, and dedication needed to be in the chamber. I can always count on him for support, except when I introduce pinko-commie bills, which I occasionally do. Then, he rightfully rebukes me.

In a country where the right is struggling to find its voice or even a legitimate source of a challenge to the left, Yankee provides that. Agree with him or not, he always provides thoughtful, rational explanations for his positions, and that is a quality we all must respect and recognize when so many of our counterparts rely on talking points as opposed to actual positions.

Please join me in voting for my good friend NC Yankee come election time! Trust me and you will not be disappointed!

Press Release: When will GPorter stop lying to the people of the SE?

Senator GPorter said I opposed sending aide to chile when in fact I did support it and only voted against it to draw attention to the extremely ridiculous length of time it took the Senate to pass any aide package. Now GPorter says that I not only support cults but that I support them with a passion. Despite whatever comments made during my drunken ballroom fight with the Welshman, I do not, nor have I ever supported any organization which engages in brainwashing, kidnapping, holding people against their will, inducing people to committ mas suicide, or to break off all non-inner group contact with people. That includes any cult or other organization period such as FLDS, Scientologists (Which upon research I have learned are like that), the Branch Dividians (SP?) and many other groups. I do support freedom of choice and the freedom association and any group that respects that right of choice to join and leave as people wish, should not be scorned just because certain established churches do not like them and instead should be protected such as atheists, mormons, egnostics and such other religions that are not enfringing on peoples god given constitutional rights.

Again we ask when GPorter will stop liaring about my positions and start telling us the truth about his positions?

Press Release: GPorter thinks he knows what the people want?

In an effort to cover for the fact that he, GPorter, engaged in a dishonest smear campaign which included several lies about my record which resulted in us refusing to debate to him untill he stopped these distastefull tactics, now claims we are afraid to face the people's questions. This is ridiculous because my campaign office is a 24/7 townhall in which anybody can ask me any questions they like. Also since last June, with the exeption of a brief period in which some kinks had to be worked out, I have been willing to in fact let my consituents write and submit bills to me to be introduced on the floor even if I disagreed with what the bill does, in effect bringing those people to floor of the Senate, they can then make the arguements for that bill on the floor and then it can be voted upon. To say I am afraid of the people is yet another lie from the campaign of lies made by GPorter when in effect I am the Senator closest to the people.

Once again we are forced to ask, when will GPorter stop lying to the people of the southeast? The SE deserves an honest Senator.

A Late Victory Address

Ladies and gentlemen, I realize this is a few days late but I would like to thank the voters of the SE, for once again putting their trust and faith in me to represent them in Senate where I won't be afraid to take the responsibility to send our boys into combat if the need shall arise. I look forward to working with my old friend Franzl and my new friend Dallasfan65 in the new Senate. I have a few priorities, topping the list is working with the new administration to revive the game by instituting some common sense reforms. Other initiatives I will push will be to establish off-shore oil drill response zones, in which the oil companies will pool their resources to stock pile the skimmers, platforms, rigs, tankers, boom (sp?) and other equiptment and supplies needed to respond to such disasters should they occur. I want to work on beefing up floor and Hurricane response. And finally since much issue was made about it via false accusation, I want to strengthen our laws concerning cult activities which are harmfull to members and people outside the organization. I look forward to a successfuly term and I thank the voters of the SE for the faith and trust that they have placed in me.

NC Yankee for Senate October 2010 Campaign Announcement
                                                        Naples, Florida

Ladies and Gentlemen, I come down here to the great state of Florida to begin my fifth campaign for the Atlasian Senate. It has been a fun year, however I must report that the Senate has descended into such a state inactivity, worthlessness, and decay such as we have never seen in a long time. As such I made the spontaneous decision to run for PPT, fully thinking that I would probably lose but, at least it would provide some competition. Unfortunately for the poor members of that body, no one else declared. I ask you thus to keep the members in your prayers, for they shall surely need it. I plan to do what no one else in the position of PPT has done. I plan to insult members, I plan to ruffle feathers, and push people's buttons. Nothing gets a person more fired up then some insane man calling them names. If it takes that to get the votes done on time, I am all for it. I hold nothing personally against anyone particular member and I hope they feel the same way. Some have contacted me, and praised me for coming in with such a kick-ass, "Machete" style approach, and I am glad they are so understanding of my goals and objectives here.

As your Regional Senator, I have voted the way I felt best for the region and the nation as a whole. I have at times been willing to compromise on some things like the the stimulus last year and at other times go down fighting till the very end like the attempts to abolish Regional Senate seats. I have  maintained as a policy that if any IDS/DS/SE citizen is willing to write up a piece of legislation, I will gladly introduce it for them exactly as presented to me. If I have to write it though, chances are it may not be 100% of what you wanted, and that is of course a given as we likely have different viewpoints. I will try to act in the spirit of the request and move in the direction that person wants like I did when I wrote Regional Legal Drinking Age act. Of course that means nothing if some have a hard time figuring out that intent or view any progress short of 100% progress, a sellout or worse then the status quo. I can't control that, but what I can do is provide an opportunity for every citizen of this fine region to have a voice, through me, in the Atlasian Senate, should they choose to utilize it.

I look forward to completion of our current work on the budget committee and to some of the ideas being discussed to stimulate the economy. Some are brilliant ideas which should be fairly easy to pass, while others will be more controversial and could require some compromise, as I am sure the administration is acutely aware. I got some of my own proposals, some of which can be seen in my tabled bill. They include things like reforms to patenting processes to encourage innovation, changes to the tax code to encourage investments into R&D, and a permanent tax break for new start-ups which of course created between 75% and 80% of the new jobs in the last decade. Many of these would be easier with the budget process in place but if that doesn't get moving faster, I will introduce them without it.

I look forward to an active and interesting campaign season and I hope to have a chance to convince you to vote for me.

Thanks and Dave Bless Atlasia
