WTF?

What happens in that case?  Does Ahnold get to appoint her successor, does she do it herself if she wins and quits the Senate after she is sworn in or do we have a special election?

Hope not. I like both my senators being Jewish and having seniority. Not to mention I'd dump DiFi and stay with Jerry.

I won't be happy if Ahnold appoints a Republican in her place.

Why would she resign before being elected governor? And she's not going to be the next governor.

What's funny is that Antonio open himself to a lot better insults due to his biography.  I mean, he still has his ex-wife's last name latched onto his own.

Huh

Isn't Feinstein a liberal? I always thought she was. Maybe it's just my perspective.

Moderate to liberal - but California is the same way too overall.

Perhaps it would be better phrased as another liberal.

If she runs, I would consider her a frontrunner for both the nomination and the election.

oh, if she runs she wins.

She said last Thursday that she's very unlikely to run though.  No one sane wants to be governor of CA.

Voted for the Iraq war
Helped kill Hillary care
Voted for the first Bush tax cut
And so on

So, she's definitely not a liberal.

She's also not a team player for causes she even believes in.  If she's not consulted in an appointment she feels she should have been consulted in, even if she agrees with it, she'll grandstand against him.  Although I oppose EFCA I noticed that she was previously a co-sponsor that won't come out one way or the other for it at the moment.  Nate Silver thinks it's because she's interested in the CA's governor mansion.  I think he's fundamentally wrong on several levels and she won't state her opinion on it for other, more personal reasons.  Guess.
