I have to say, even if you agree with her views on gun control, it's tough to argue that:

1-She is an effective advocate for it. Considering that when promoting one of her bills to ban a certain accessory to weapons, she couldn't describe what the accessory was beyond saying that it was "a shoulder thing that goes up".
2-That she isn't a cheap political opportunist and not a liberal. Consider that she's basically a Republic obsessed with this one issue, and maintains rather pro-war and pro-corporate policies. Anyone who would support her over Gillibrand on this is beyond misguided.

100% agree.  The "a shoulder thing that goes up" line is ALWAYS funny.

I'd like it if most of my Democratic representatives were registered Democrats before they were elected twice as Democrats

I do  need to change my registration from L sometime though...

Your kind of politician is someone who can't even explain what their proposed bill bans?

I'm having a tough time even imaging what type of accesory could be described as a "shoulder thing that goes up". The only thing I can think of is a sort of shoulder strap, which still isn't accurately described as "going up", and for which banning would be the most pointless thing ever considering how easy makeshift ones are.

Same here.  Most gun nuts are either 1) really insecure, 2) men with a tiny penis or 3) insane and dangerous.

I read about her after Gillibrand was appointed and I have to say she disgusts me. I think I hate anti-gun nanny staters, as much as I hate gun nuts.

Really? Did you do a scientific study on the penis length or insecurity of gun owners? What peer reviewed journal did you publish it in?

Perhaps the whole shoulder thing was not exactly her best moment, but she is a strong advocate for keeping guns off the streets and out of the hands of those who should never have access to them.  FF.  the fact that the people who hate her the most are those who want everyone in thee world to have guns with no checks whatsoever (GOA) shows she is a true FF

She wants to keep guns out of the hands of everyone, (except her security guards) so I don't think it counts that she wants to disarm criminals. Besides, when anti-gunners squawk about enacting laws which will "keep guns out of the hands of criminals," they're just dressing up their excuse so they can make their proposal sound better.

Rule #1 when disagreeing with someone - Insult their manhood/penis size. You never lose that way.

She wants to keep guns out of the hands of everyone, (except her security guards)

She also likes war, she's hardly a fierce liberal advocate.  Like I said, she tried to run as a Republican for the House seat, got little traction, flipped sides and won, but continued to be registered as a Republican for ~4 years.

She's more like a not-quite-insane, bitter woman [a less ridiculous, Democratic version of Marilyn Neoma Musgrave perhaps], who is so focused on anything she can do to ban guns that  she loses her ability to be taken completely seriously.  I say "bitter" because look at the personal insults she has for Gillibrand, for example, she seems to need attention for herself and isn't able to get with the picture and move on.

As it is, she's endangering the Democratic majority by yapping on about electorally unpopular bills that aren't going to pass anyway.  Let's not feature her more prominently, a'ight?

The ignorance and poorly aimed anger of the anti-gun crowd continues to give me the chuckles.  It's no wonder the good guys won the war on guns.
