These are the three most common.  If there's another one, please tell me as I'm interested in hearing about something I've never tried.

This. It can't be too watery either, but the right slaw can be quite delicious.

It depends. All of these have so many different variations that it's impossible to pick one over the other. Generally all three are good; the more the merrier!

I love all 3, but I gotta go with the pasta salad (if it's done right).

Pasta salad.  Yes, I do have a lot of non-Irish tastes and prefer it to potato salad.  I also prefer my pasta salad that's Italian salad dressing based with salad supreme and veggies.  Bonus for sliced pepperoni and cherry peppers.

...

Pasta salad is not Italian; it's more American.

This was incredibly insulting but not surprising.

Potato Salad

It's the only thing I would possibly eat of the 3.

It really depends. Cole slaw is best with a little mayonnaise. The best cole slaw I've ever had was at a little place out on Seabrook Island. It has more of a mixture of horseradish and mayo, but very light. I love pasta salad, but only when its more of an olive oil, vinegar, and garlic based sauce. Mayonnaise pasta salad isn't my cup of tea.

Potato salad.

You're likely to find both potato salad and pasta salad (usually tuna pasta salad with peas, cheese cubes, and celery.. mayo mixture)... cole slaw is a bit rarer here.

None if they are mayonnaise-based. However, I like all three if they are vinegar-based. I like to make pasta salad with chopped celery, onions, and carrots or red bell peppers and a mix of fresh herbs from the garden (basil, thyme, parsley, savory, etc. as available) topped with salt, pepper, vinegar and oil and chilled overnight.

It's so hard to choose, I love Potato and Pasta/Tuna Salad. I always have a little of each, but I voted Pasta Salad since I usually have that more.

Slaw, though I also love Macaroni Salad.  Potato salad is something I will eat if its there, but it's not something I have a real passion for.

Nobody with taste puts mayonnaise on potato salad.

As a result, potato salad among people with taste is delicious.
