I know I flip-flop a lot, but I'm just a kid. <snip> I don't know a lot. I'm not as smart as most people here. My views keep on changing, because I keep seeing a different side of everything. Hopefully, at least by the time I can vote, I'll be more consistent.
You'll be a yellow in Purple heart years.  You fit the pattern.  Don't rush yourself though, the path is more fun than the destination.  Good luck.

(and never become too consistent and keep looking at things from a different angle)
Possibly
But I'm quite opposite of Libertarians. I'm more socially conservative and economically liberal, which is opposite of Libertarians, I think.

Less than three years ago I had a PM score of -2,8. It would not be too strange for you to be a Libertarian by the time you're my age, especially given how willing you are to listen to alternative points of view (much more than I was at first).
Possibly. But there are a few issues that I know I won't change, that disagree with the Libertarian party.
Anything is possible. I just haven't been "talked to" by a Libertarian. Part of the reason I've swayed moderate is because of Mint, who has given me a lot of great advice and talks. I've learned a lot from him. He's truely a remarkable human being.

I used to say that there were issues that I knew I wouldn't change, like gun control & abortion. I ultimately did, though. You cannot say for sure that you will hold the same view on a particular issue a few years down the road.

He's a young'n.  Give him time.

That he is open to new ideas and isn't set in his ways is good.  That he doesn't like Huckabee is great.

Anyone who doesn't like Huckabee is my hero. As long as someone likes Mitt, even slightly more than Huckabee, I consider them a friend.

FF for the intense honesty and humility exhibited in that post.

I also think there's a strong possibility he'll be libertarian by the time he votes.  College often has socially liberalizing effects.

Thank you.
I will have only been in college for a couple months when the election occurs, so it would be the election after that. Wink

I don't know him well, but "tmthforu" is an amazingly fierce username. I think this place needs some of that!

Freedom Fighter 100%

He's funny. And he's cool. Though he's a moderate I can stand him. He's probably my favorite Moderate. Plus he's a Romney fan!!! I'm a Romney fan!!!

Also he's way more bi-partisan then I could ever be. Plus Minority religions should stick together!!! Cheesy

By far he's one of my favorite people on here. And that's a fact.
But ..his username is too hard to spell or pronounce. Lol

Yea.. I just gave a Pro-Moderate rant. SO yea if your name isn't Isaac don't expect any Pro-Moderate rants from me.

Freedom Fighter
Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. Well, almost everyone.
I know I flip-flop a lot, but I'm just a kid. I've learned everything politically in about a year. 1 year ago, I couldn't of told you whether DC was Republican or Democratic. I thought blacks went about 50/50. I don't know a lot. I'm not as smart as most people here. My views keep on changing, because I keep seeing a different side of everything. Hopefully, at least by the time I can vote, I'll be more consistent.
(P.S. I still like Bachmann, just not as much as before. Snowe is my new woman Wink, though she isn't quite as hot as Bachmann)
Actually your PM score has become pretty consistent. Now leave it like that lol

I'm lucky then. MY views changed alot in 2007. That's when I really got into politics. My social score ranged from +6.78 to -5.87 that year.

Lol. I've become more consistent. Socially , in the past year. only issue i may flip flop on in the near future is gay rights.

So yea. Hope you aren't gonna be Ideologically confused for long!!

Oh ,btw I have very good advice. Never let anyone tell you what to believe. I learned that the hard way. I used to be liberal because I was willing to let my teachers mess with my head. Then I looked at most  issues in detail and decided where I stand. You can say whatever you want about me. But my beliefs are my beliefs. I am starting to change views again though. I am trending libertarian (My economic score went up +3.00 in 5 months) , You can thank the bad economy for that.

I used to let my family dictate my views economically. But now I'm going from Pro-Unions to neutral.

Never let people tell you what to believe. Be yourself.
