Braveheart   15 (53.6%)
Harold and Kumar: Go To White Castle   13 (46.4%)

Wow, what happened here? A terrible performance by Braveheart considering the amount of nominations it received. Braveheart could be in serious trouble next round against Return of the King

Across the Universe was incredibly overrated string of simplistic lyrical interpretations pasted together to make a boring and generic story.

MPATHG easily.

Even my soft spot for Evan Rachel Wood isn't enough with this type of matchup.

Across the Universe is very overrated.  Surrealism is not enough to make a movie "deep," and waiting the entire movie for the payoff of naming the main character "Jude" in a Beatles musical is just annoying.

I'm dismayed at the cheapening of Monty Python over the years.  Their brilliantly sharp sketches have been reduced to catchphrases, and as funny as it was, Spamalot was a weak excuse to have people sit around for two hours whispering, "I remember that!"  However, Holy Grail can hardly be forgiven for that.  The Python boys weren't living in an anarcho-syndicalist commune, after all, they had to make money somewhere.  Smiley

Holy Grail, even if it did condemn us to decades of inane repetitions of It's just a flesh wound, Castle Anthrax And there was much rejoicing, Spam, Sir Not Appearing in this Film, They call me Tim, Spam, Five is right out!, Spam, The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow, Spam, Eggs, and Spam.

Across the Universe was terrible. Oh look at us, we're so clever naming all our characters after people in Beatles songs!

Not the best Python movie. Still gets my vote though.

Spam is not from the Holy Grail, it's from a sketch.

And Holy Grail wins this easily.

Ask again and I shall taunt you a second time-uh.

Monty Python, of course.  (But it cannot be enjoyed alone...one must watch with another person!)

Damn... The Grail!

I haven't seen the other one, but just because I've seen the Grail it's enough for it to get my vote.

I'm well aware of that.  It's just that when listing a long list of things related to Monty Python, it's obligatory to use that pun.  Especially when out of context, because nobody expects it, much like the Spanish Inquisition.  ARRGH!  That's what I meant earlier!  Monty Python's brilliance has been reduced to a bunch of banal catchphrases that someone will just have to mention to cause people to burst into hysterics.  It completely kills the subversive humor for which they are famous.

This is the easiest question I have answered in my life.

I am a great Beatles fan.  My friends and I dressed up as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band for Halloween in high school.  I gave a Beatles-themed graduation speech when I was salutatorian.

Having said that, Across the Universe was a debacle.

Monty Python wins by default, (although, as my favorite movie, it would have won against anything).
