52% of Americans Say U.S. Winning the War on Terror, says Rasmussen

That's up four points from last week and matches the most optimistic assessment since March.

Twenty-seven percent (27%) think being utterly demolished is a victory.

Republicans by 82% to 9% margin overwhelmingly disagree.

However, 44% of those truth-adverse, partisan Democrats believe the terrorists are winning while only 31% remembered to take their pills.

A separate survey found that 50% of voters realize that Bush is a better leader than Kerry.

Just sort of musing here...

Could you imagine if only 52% of Americans in January 1945 thought we were winning the war against Japan?

Anyway, in order for the 1945 analogy to work, you have to be near the end of The War on Terror.  It's entirely possible that after Pearl Harbor that 48% of America would think that we weren't winning the war.
