Will "we" be endorsing anyone for tomorrow's Senate race?

No, since it starts tomorrow.  We'll begin endorsing with the next election.

Well, because of finals, I wasn't able to organize this for this election.  However, I encourage everyone to follow my ballot, at least for the Presidency.  PiT and HappyWarrior both have long and distinguished records of activity in Atlasia, and deserve our support.

Presently, the Intelligent Voting Amendment to the Constitution is now being debated in the Senate.  This is exactly the type of legislation that the AIAL was founded for.  We have people registering to vote with less than 15 posts, the day that they join.  I fully support the plan by Senator Marokai Blue to require posters to have been involved in the Forum for 15 days before registering; I would also like to see an increased post/time active requirement before seeking higher office.  I encourage all voters to encourage their Senators to support this Legislation, and to the vote for it themselves when it is presented to the Regions.

I thank Ben for his imput in the debate thread for the Intelligent Voting Amendment Smiley

This is the current proposed change to the Amendment, I'll post it here for all to see and give their imput as well.

We're also thinking about including something about absentee voting, but nothing has been proposed yet formally.

And, just so people don't have to look it up, repealing the Sixth amendment raises the posting requirement for joining to 50, instead of 25 like it is currently.

As I've said before, I stand 100% behind this Amendment.  I think the current form needs no more changes; it works quite well in its present form.

In turn, I thank Marokai for keeping the AIAL in the loop, and for posting the Amendment here Smiley

Sounds good but why is it "Atlasians for Intelligent and Active Legislators"? Surely this group is not limited to Senatorial issues?

This Amendment needs to be passed.  It is imperative that we begin to rectify the problems that Atlasia faces when it comes to the issue of voter registration, and unqualified, uniformed citizens seeking office.

This Amendment must be passed.  Everyone who cares about the future of Atlasia needs to go to the Voting Booth and vote AYE on this Amendment.  If your Booth has not been opened yet, PM your Governor and have them open the Booth.

While I support this PAC, I have decided to withdraw my membership as there could be conflict of interest down the road with my journalistic duties.

BTW, I plan to vote for the amendment.

I withdraw my membership. The membership of an airhead like catmusic and others do not make for a strong and real organization. I support most of the principles of this PAC, but it's mostly been a failure in practice.

I would like to congratulate Lief and Bacon king on their election.  While I did not support their ticket, I am confident that they will both serve Atlasia with energy and integrity, qualities which have been sorely lacking in Atlasia in late.  I look forward to working with the incoming Administration, as they strive to return Atlasia to its former glory.

While not an issue related to Activity, the AIAL would like to announce its full support for the Health Care Bill currently pending before the Senate.
