Look here. Andy Jackson voted, but you cannot see his post in the thread. This voting booth must be cursed.

That's strange. I vaguely recall seeing an I-TX avatar in the actual voting booth last night. I wonder why it would no longer appear there...

Bacon King was the 15th voter & Andy Jackson was the 30th. Basically the voting booth eats every vote that begins a new page.

That is very concerning. I think anyone who has any concerns over his or her vote should PM a quote of their vote to the SOFA until the problem is rectified.

Any thought's on that?

Sounds good. We also need to be vigilant in following the voting, so we can notice if any votes go missing.

Well, I don't think anyone would object if Andy re-posted his ballot.

All persons who have had their votes mysteriously vanish will be allowed to re-post their votes.

Bacon King's vote is there, did he re-vote, or did it magically re-appear again?

Based on the timestamp, it re-appeared.

Weird.

And why did Gustaf vote twice? His vote(s) won't count.

What happens if Andy Jackson's original vote reappears?

EDIT: Also, is there any specific text saying that Gustaf's vote wouldn't count? The voting booth instructions do not mention voting twice in the same booth. Since it was within 20 minutes, it could be interpreted as a legal edit (albeit one that did not actually change anything).

Weird.

And why did Gustaf vote twice? His vote(s) won't count.

Maybe, his first one didn't show up when he posted it to start with and then he posted another one. Not sure, but just guessing.

That seems likely to be the case, seeing as how they are only a minute apart.

It is, but I think we should PM him and ask why he voted twice.

Does it matter? He still voted twice.

Edit: I mean, yeah, I guess finding out why he did it would be nice, but is vote is still invalid regardless, the law being the law.

What if Dan is right and his vote disappeared and so re voted. Then his first one appeared again. I think you should give him the benefit of doubt on this. If its the same thing that happened to Bacon King and Andy, since they are allowed to revote, what happens if there votes reappear. Strange things are happening in this voting booth.

I think there's no way to prove that and he voted less than a minute apart. Myself and others noticed this pretty much as soon as he voted so we would be taking a huge leap of faith to assume that. We'd basically only have his word, as opposed to witness accounts of the others.

Is it just me or isn't the Leif/Bacon King camp very strongly for Gustaf's vote not counting?HuhHuh

*Just kidding* Wink + Tongue

Since I doubt Gustaf were trying to comit voter fraud (it's not like anyone'd be silly enough to count both his votes) I don't see why his vote shouldn't count, it was within the 20 min limit and considering the troubles there have been with post disappearing, I think it should count.

Maybe I'm missing something here, (and being slightly stupid) but doesn't it say in the top of the thread when the post was posted. Like in your post it says it was posted on June 17 at 11.31 pm my time.

Oh wait never mind, I get what you're saying now. It was not the time you meant we couldn't prove *blushes*

It may not be fair....but the SOFA has clearly stated that the vote is invalid.

The same thing could have happen to Gustaf. That is why I said we should ask him why he posted it twice. Just trying to be fair.

I'm sure we could, though we have multiple eyewitness accounts of Bacon King's post's fate. Same for Andy Jackson, & Andy Jackson was allowed to repost it. As far as I know there was no eyewitness acount of Gustaf's first post going missing.

Because other people witnessed what happened to BK. The post did not show up. Earl said peoples whose post disappear will be allowed to revote. Then in this instance with Gustaf he intends to follow the letter of the law. It would make sense that is what happened to Gustaf and that is why he reposted it within 1 minute. I usually read over my posts to make sure there are no obvious errors both before and after I post them, in Gustaf's position I could see myself doing the same thing and thats what scares me about this damn thing. How do we know this won't happen on Friday? And if it does how the hell am I suppose to get somebody to notice it missing?  Not everyone checks over things as caustiously as I do. I was actually probably the first one to notice BK's missing vote. This might be something we should look at addressing in the Senate. If PiT's elected then we most likely will take a look at the SoFA's office as well anyway.
