The absentee voting thing is a little bit silly, it's just another voting booth that opens earlier than the "non-absentee" booth.  Why not just have one thread that is open for the entire time period?

Anyway, the absentee booth should be closed Thursday night/Friday morning at midnight, and the official booth opened at the same time.

      JewishConservative has been registered since June 4th.

Oh, I see...he registered on the 4th in Indiana, then changed that to Montana on the 11th.  Probably just to vote against me.

Sorry to pick on you, Earl, but I just noticed another mistake in your voting booth.  It says the election will go on until October:

This election is held in accordance with Article V of the Constitution and with the Consolidated Electoral System Reform Act.  The regular election begins at 11:59 EDT June 18th, and ends at 11:59 P.M. EDT, October 21st.

Well, that seems reasonable, I suppose. I suggest unless anyone has any objections, that I will allow Gustaf's vote to stand.

There is some possibility that the Midwest Senate could end in a tie.  I don't know what the law is concerning tied elections, but it occurs to me that Gustaf's vote could be used as a sort of tiebreaker.  That is, if his vote breaks a tie, count it; if it creates a tie, discount it.

I don't see a controversial ending here.  The only votes being disputed are Gustaf and Barnes, both votes for PiT- who wins the election by one vote without either of the disputed votes.  Where's the controversy?

Though I never did get an answer about whether a vote for Fritz would've brought about a runoff.

Basically Verin, I needed you to preference me higher than Jedi- as Jas and Lewis both did- plus get two other votes, in order to pull off a win 9-8.  A tie was not possible, as an 8-8 final result would have had the tie broken in Jedi's favor, because of more first preferences.

By the by, having looked at it, by virtue of the same 24th Amendment, I believe that jewishconservative's vote in the Midwestern Senate election is invalid.

He changed his registration to the Midwestern region from the Mideast after 00.00 (EST) Thursday, 11th. Therefore, his regional vote can only be taken to apply to the Mideastern election. Not sure if this has any real effect though.

Just looked up the law.

I think, if I'm right, that the Midwestern Senate race tied.

The result would now be:
