For some reason, you are forced to downgrade one thing you own to a really old, ugly outdated piece of technology.

Would you rather drive an AMC Pacer for the rest of your life or use an iMac G3 as your computer?

There's no question that I'd go with the Pacer. As crappy as it may be to drive it, I'm so reliant on my computers that I have to have one that performs to the highest standards. While the parameters of the question are left open to interpretation, there is only so much upgrading you can do to an iMac G3, and eventually, there will be technologies that I'd want to use that simply wouldn't be compatible with an outdated computer.

On the other hand, I really don't have a need to drive anything other than a functional car, so assuming that the Pacer runs and can be regularly maintained, that'd be the logical choice for me.

Pacers are Great!  Well, actually AMC cars were great, and the Pacer isn't the best, but it is still a neat car.  My personal favorite, the Matador:

But I've only ever owned these:
Hornet

Ambassador

The AMC inline-6 engine is one of the best ever made.

AMC was so awesome, the mighty Chrysler was able to buy them right before they went belly up and needed a bail out the first time.

Anyway, in 5 years the car will still have a use.  The G3 will be a paper weight.

I'd rather take an Eagle over a Pacer, but it's definitely Pacer over a paperweight.
