HP for past actions but perhaps reformed . . . hopefully.

That being said, unfortunately there are people who have committed far worse crimes playing in the NFL right now and by that standard, Vick should be allowed to return. Either way, I'm sure he will be allowed back in any way; he's one of the most dynamic football players of all time . . . it's too much revenue for the NFL to pass up.

Also, for those of you who don't know my current user name is a reference to Mike Vick. Google it and see what it means.

I suppose the feds planted the evidence, fabricated witnesses, and coerced a guilty plea out of him?

That's not what I'm saying.

If this was Joe Buck from rural VA caught doing the same thing he would get nowhere near what was thrown at Vick.  You know that.

Vick got 23 months.  That's far less than the potential 6 years he could have been sentenced to.  Vick was let off easy.

Joe Buck wouldn't have even served jail time.

Here's a "Joe Buck" that got 15 years for dog fighting:

Nice try? You're the one just making sh**t up.

I guess I shouldn't try to confuse you with facts but here's a man sentenced to five years for dog fighting . . .

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2008/06/la-man-sentence.html

Here's some more examples too:

Andrew is right, from what I've read.  Animal cruelty is one of the least frequently "off-easy" crimes because juries hate animal abusers.  I've seen some statistics on this that I could probably dig up.

My guess is that, while Vick's case may have been higher-priority (in establishing evidence) because of who he was, I doubt he would have gotten off easier if he were Some Guy.

Post a cite backing up your claims or shut the fuck up.

edit-and of course Vick is a piece of sh**t, but he deserves and will (likely) get another chance at life.  I wish him luck.

Yes it is. And I despise dogfighting. But I'm referring to the fact that he got kicked out of football forever for killing a dog, while O.J. got absolutely nothing for killing a human. That's even sicker.

Wow ok. Vick isn't kicked out of football forever, in fact he might even be back this season and O.J. was long retired when he committed murder.

Still, Vick was punished, O.J. got away scot-free. That's not my picture of a well-run society.
