And in other news a McDonnell internal has him leading Deeds.

Haven't people here learned anything about internal polls over the past 9 years?

Meh still not a great sign for McDonnell but Deeds doesn't have it in the bag as much as you make it sound.

Everyday that the Dems lead is an upset for McDonnell because he was suppose to win this race going away.  The stock for Deeds seems to be rising to his advantage, that's why this poll is good news.

1) It's (probably) within the margin of error.
2) Deeds is not at 50%
3) IT'S TOO DAMN EARLY IN THE CAMPAIGN

This could actually be viewed as a good sign for the Republicans in an odd way. Because in the last two Governor's races the Republican candidate always led the Democratic one right up until the election.
