He sounded as subdued as the Fox anchors during election night.

Nobody. They're all bad.

Peter Mansbridge, Laurent Delahousse, Katie Couric, and maybe a few other 'muricans are decent.

Conservative radio idiots, David Pujadas, FOX news hacks are the worse.

TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY FOR THE PRESIDENT BECAUSE HE SLAPPED A FLY WHILE BEING INTERVIEWED BY OUR OWN COKIE ROBERTS.  IN OTHER NEWS, THREE HUNDRED PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN A SUICIDE BOMBING IN TEL AVIV.  A BOMB WAS STRAPPED TO A HUMAN BEING AND EXPLODED IN TEL AVIV.  I LIKE TO REPEAT EVERYTHING A FEW TIMES USING SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WORD ORDERS.  ALSO NOTICE THE COMPLETE LACK OF TONE CHANGE BETWEEN THE HEART WARMING FLY SLAPPING STORY AND THE BOMBING, WHICH OCCURRED IN TEL AVIV THIS AFTERNOON AFTER A MAN STRAPPED A BOMB TO HIS CHEST AND BLEW HIMSELF UP.  AFTER THE BREAK I WILL TALK TO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MINORITY LEADER JOHN BOEHNER.  AFTER THE BREAK.

I actually like Pat Buchanan.  He usually seems to be having so much fun, it's contagious.  And on a few things, I actually agree with him.

As to the rest, does anyone even come close to approaching the integrity and fairness of either Bill Moyers or Diane Rehm?  Really, most of the NPR folks are very, very good.

I always appreciated Sam Donaldson's vigorous questioning of the President.

I really don't like any of the talk show hosts, aside from the aforementioned Rehm.  Keith Olbermann was a guilty pleasure for awhile because I'd had so many years of smelling Limbaugh's farts -- unchallenged -- it was nice to see some on-air flatulence coming from the left.  Now, I tire of all their nasty funk.

Rachel Maddow is okay.  I know she is gay, but I find her very attractive.  I am quite partial to pretty women with short hair...which, I realize, is unusual.

Peter Jennings had the very best delivery of any newscaster (aside from maybe Cronkite) and he was particularly good when it became necessary to ad lib.  I miss him a great deal, as well as the late Max Robinson.

Buchanan can go burn in hell.

Pat Robertson is better. Especially his whacko end-of-the-world-theories

TV:
Brit Hume
Niel Cavuto
Juan Williams
Larry Kudlow
Rachel Maddow
Tucker Carlson
Kirsten Powers
Judge Napolitano
Tony Blankley
Harold Ford

As I've said in other threads, I think some of the best political commentary on TV is the "Fox All-Stars" -- Hume, Williams, Fred Barnes, Mort Kondracke, Mara Liasson, Bill Kristol, Charles Krauthammer, etc.

Print:
I read the NY Daily News.  I like Krauthammer's syndicated columns, and Stanley Crouch (I don't believe he's syndicated).  I also enjoy Mort Zuckerman's editorials when they come around.  I also enjoy The Economist (like most people here), but of course, their articles are unattributed.

Radio:
No one.

Newscasters: Fareed Zakaria, Joe Scarborough, Anderson Cooper (though I could do without all the action shots CNN has him pose for)

Journalists: Jon Meacham, Martin Wolf, Fareed Zakaria, the good folks at the Economist (though it's basically the magazine form of the Financial Times)

Talk-show hosts: Jon Stewart?

Radio: all are trash

Ben you don't have to agree with is policies to enjoy hearing him, that's right.  Kinda like Harold Ford, Jr.  I rarely agree with him but I'm glad when he's on Morning Joe cause I appreciate how he articulates his vew.
