I've never been to church camp, but I have been recruited by the youth ministers at my mom's church. He finally stopped giving me his card though, so I can go to church now and not have to sit in the back.

Yes.  As a teen. Sneak off with a girl.  Then "go forward" and repent at the evening church service.

Actually, I have become a big believer in VBS since I've watched our church do it.  The kids love it -- no hellfire -- just lots of love and fun to go around.

Oh yeah, I used to help a local Lutheran church with VBS and I went to Lutheran VBS as a kid... both were great experiences.

Mostly, we'd just have various stations set up.  Some were for arts and crafts, some were for games... but usually there was some kind of pageant at the end that everyone participated in.  Sure, it wasn't the funnest thing in the world, but it was a good time.

4 week longers and countless weekend dealies.  I even was a counselor a few times.  That's how I ended up on a christian tv station in KC playing basketball with some old lady.

I'm assuming I went to 16 or 17 VBS...I certainly don't remember missing any.

Growing up a Christian Fundie was fun!  </sarcasm>

Been to religious retreats, but only as a result of school.  They were only for a school day, not overnight.  They were actually nice days off basically and IIRC my senior retreat we played touch football for most of the day.  So I'm thinking my answer's no.
