I voted for "A party hosted by Lewis Trondheim" since an "emo concert" is basically an oxymoron. Emo bands play "shows", not "concerts"

Either of the Civil War reenactments would be fun, but I'll choose Statesrights since he is the foremost expert on the Civil War here.

Lewis's party, with Duke's frat party as honorable mention.

I doubt either of them is sufficiently cool enough to help me get lucky by association.  (They're quite cool...but old fats are just not what the party set is looking for these days.)  Still, I would have great fun.

As to Civil War re-enacting, I have never done it.  I respect that those who do it are keeping history alive.  But I'm the kind of Star Trek fan who doesn't wear the ears to movies.  I do collect and deal in original, Civil War era accoutrements, weapons and documents...but I don't do the reproduction thing.  Plus...the serious re-enactors do something called "spooning" on cold nights at camp.  No thanks!

Oh, sorry.  You guys call them Wards.  My bad, I'm not familiar with local politics in areas with histories of machine politics. Tongue

No, I don't pay that close attention to DC local politics.

We still have precincts. A Ward is the collection of precincts (which we call "divisions" in Philadelphia). We don't have precinct meetings though; we have Ward meetings.  Smiley

Option 4, but it would depend on what opera is being performed.

I voted for "A party hosted by Lewis Trondheim" since an "emo concert" is basically an oxymoron. Emo bands play "shows", not "concerts"

Main Entry:
    Concert
Pronunciation:
    \ˈkän(t)-sərt, ˈkän-ˌsərt\
Function:
    noun
Etymology:
French, from Italian concerto, from concertare
Date:
    1571

1: agreement in design or plan : union formed by mutual communication of opinion and views
2: obsolete : musical harmony : concord
3: a public performance (as of music or dancing)

Emo bands play concerts, no matter what you want to call them.
