So, do you approve or disapprove of how President Bgwah did in his second term?

This is just something I think would be interesting to see.

The poll will be open for three days.

Strongly disapprove.

While I recognise that on his own terms, President bgwah feels he has been successful - in that voter turnout has increased in the last election - how much of that is down to the President? Rather, i would suggest, it appears a direct consequence of the increase of activity on the Forum in general, most notably with the recent wave of newbies - something beyond the control of the President.

For his entire period of office the only other stated goals of the President, a Constitutional Convention and a GM would both (unfortunately) appear to have been failed efforts. The President had no real legislative agenda and his interaction with the legiglature was, all told, negligible.

bgwah is in many ways a very capable Atlasian who has made some important contributions (mostly wiki related), but I believe his Presidency was ineffective.

Nothing's happened. The next administration will change that, just watch.

Strongly disapprove.

Exactly what Jas said. Sure, bgwah can point to all that's happened under his second term, but none of it was due to his own initiative. In fact, in the case of GM reform his administration has been the fiercest roadblock to progress. There was no agenda for the Senate to work with either.

Nothing's happened. The next administration will change that, just watch.

I'm hopeful that, either way, the next administration will be far more active and hands-on in their approach to the game.

Luckily I'm not petty enough to leave Atlasia for a year just to prove how much this place would suffer without me.

Ehh
I don't really know him, and I haven't been around long enough to develop an opinion. But the whole GM fiasco is/was crazy, and I really haven't seen him be overly active in the Senate.

Somewhat Disapprove. He supports the regions and got the GM back and has mostly signed bills I like.

Besides that he picked an innactive nutcase for GM, wouldn't remove him until we the Senate did, got an unneeded constitutional convention passed, has had no discussion with the Senate and hasn't addressed the public at all. Overall a failure.

Perhaps there are reasons those naysayers are "enemies." You don't rack up a list because you're a great guy and effective president. Discrediting disapproving votes because someone may not like you is an ignorant way to read a poll.

I'm merely pointing out the same predictable group of naysayers seemed to rush to this poll to slam my Presidency. Jas has wanted my Presidency to fail from the start, Xahar is probably mad at me for a variety of reasons (none of which are valid, but he's just Atlasia's version of "the Joker" as played by Heath Ledger), and you've been an all-around nasty person for a while.

I voted Neutral. Practically every thing bad was cancelled out by something good.
He wanted the Convention, but has come out strongly against some of there horrible ideas
He appointed Xahar, then I think he responded quite well when Xahar's crimes were revealed
He appointed a piss poor GM, but at least he got the GM position in the first place.

I think the events under his term some b/c of him, some inspite of him have made this place better. In all I would say he has been a mediocre President but not a horrific one. But hay its a tough job.

So thus my vote for Neutral.

You've been just as nasty. I really have no problems with most of the other members of this game, as I'm not one to generally pick a fight. Just you really, which must say something.

And I just have trouble grasping why when "enemies" vote strongly disapprove it's meaningless, but when die-hard supporters vote strongly approve it shows what a wonderful leader you have been. You've made enemies, that's reality, and so those votes mean just as much as any other, whether you could predict it or not.
