If you had to do a re-vote in the Minnesota Senate saga, who would you vote for?

I used to like Coleman, but after this fiasco, I can't stand him either. Franken is a joke. That only leaves one option...

It says "if you had to vote again." Since no one that has commented actually lives in MN and voted the first time, your answers are pretty irrelevant.

As the first person to post here who actually would be voting again, I would vote for Al Franken for the second time.

Al Franken.  The only New York Jew in the race that actually grew up in Minnesota.

I'd be tempted to vote for Franken just for the comedic value. However, for the sake of moderation I would probably vote for Dean Barkley

no, your party did.  in an inverted situation the Republican majority seats Coleman at gunpoint.

If liberals had just selected the more liberal of the two candidates who had a chance to win, Franken would have won easily.  Instead they cast their votes for a spoiler and deprived their state of a senator for over six months, and nearly sent Coleman back to office.

Sure, Franken's a doofus, but it's irrelevant.  His voting record is what matters, and it will be FAR superior to Coleman's.

Norm Coleman (R) he was always wishy washy but he would've been a better 41st Republican then Specter was and on top of that we would have 41 no matter what Specter did in April and yes I know having that mark is meaningless or just about.

It's the delegates to the DFL caucuses who caused this mess my state is in.  If delegates had simply selected Ciresi (as I did), he would've won a solid victory.
