I graduated from high school today!

Well I graduated from high school today receiving the diploma and everything, as well as finishing my mandatory education! This fall I go off to work on my higher education in college.

I'm just glad to be finished with high school although if I had the chance I would do some things over.

I may have pictures coming if they turned out correctly!

Congratulations. 

You know, back before rocks cooled, and this does not refer to you at all, and indeed it was before my time, more like back in the early 1920's when my Dad was in high school, you actually had to master maths and be literate (and I mean really literate, as in actually being able to compose coherent sentences and read texts that probably a majority of folks cannot master these days), to graduate from high school. Otherwise you didn't. The degree really meant something. Ah those were the days!  How do we bring them back I wonder?  Probably there is no "how" available to implement that is remotely politically realistic, and that is kind of sad. Instead, the illiterate go on to junior college and eventually drop out (or if marginally literate sometimes actually get into college with large subsidies degrading those institutions), and well basically  waste their time and money and ours, and in particular those particular "ours" who pay taxes.
