A civilized, developed country with a not retarded political system.

New Zealand.

An American forum chooses the United States as the best country in the world!! What a surprise!!

Personally, I would not have included any wealthy English-speaking nation on such a list to make it more interesting... Wink

I can't believe its come down to these two sh**tholes.   I had high hopes for Canada at least - its way better than either of these two dumps.

I'm wondering why all the Americans who chose Canada don't move there...obviously the teenagers can't, but the college age ones could easily apply to go to college up there, and I don't think any of our adult posters are literally too poor to do it.
And I don't mean this in the arrogant "If you don't love America, get out!" sense, I just mean "If you'd really rather live in Canada than America, why don't you?"

Funny, but the US has finally gotten itself into a matchup where I vote for it (I wasn't online for the first round).

What kind of a country has a "z" in it's name. They disgust me. (sarcasm)

Nothing horrid. It's just an out-of-the-way little place with very few people, most of them English colonial sheepshaggers, where I wouldn't want to actually live. It's not a place I'm particularly interested in. Every single other country the US was up against was.

I've already left the Bad Place for a place even better than Canadia.  But realistically it is impossible for most people from the US to emigrate to 'first world' countries as said countries won't allow them to stay long term, and work, unless they have some very specific skill.

Oh I don't hate it.. I voted for it over the US obviously.  But its just such a poor choice compared to so many others.  Canada for example does mostly tolerate prostitution even if it is not strictly speaking legal.
