Well, I guess, unlike everyone else here, I can put my actual field Smiley Micro Theory. Though I do some experiments as well.

I'm most interested in personal, or household, economics -- seeing that that is the only branch directly under individual control. That wasn't an option, so I picked A

That isn't directly under 'individual control'.

Industrial organization, definitely, and also monetary economics, but that's not here.

Of those, Development, Finance, International Economics, and Macroeconomics.

I guess Economic History has been relegated to the history department.

A shame really, it is understudied.

I'd be interesting to see if some new voters could participate so I'm bumping this.

I basically got the categories from the UCSD Econ Dept.

Mine will be my field, so not everyone for long. Wink

Ha ooooh this was funny to stumble upon. After having completed that, my preferences are pretty different. I ultimately finished my education on a labor econ note after focusing mainly on general macro. My favorites now are probably labor, development, international, and behavioral. I hate Econometrics, law, and finance.

EDIT: Ah yes, and I completely agree about economic history.

Those are all very good subtopics... but I would go with economic history and behavioral economics. Maybe Econometrics, too.
