Inspired by Afleitch's thread comparing the U.S. and UK parties.

In a few days, I'll post one for the Conservatives and Republicans. I'd like to do one for all the Canadian Parties, but the Bloc and NDP don't have analogues in the U.S., which makes a comparison difficult.

In terms of who is actually more left, probably the Canadian Liberals.
In terms of who would piss me off the less, the US Democrats. (no offense Canada, thanks for the maple syrup though!)

impossible to answer, because (particularly in the U.S.), the individual candidate is of immense importance.

Well, yes, but the Liberals have a party to their left to serve as an alternative.

Oh wow. You sold out, eh. Oh well, you kind of remind me of Michael Ignatieff anyways in how you spent most of your life outside the country Wink

They seem about the same - as has been said above, spineless conservative parties.

But I'll say the Democrats as they remain fairly sane despite a mostly insane electorate.  By contrast the Candadian electorate is almost entirely made up of sanes.
