A very interesting take on a very contentious issue.

After reading AL's piece I'm starting to understand where the administration is coming from. But I still find the whole idea of Indefinite Detention abhorrent and dangerous. We're talking about an idea that repulsed every freedom-loving individual while they were reading about it in dystopian novels like "1984" and "V for Vendetta".

I don't like the principle either....although it does seem to be quite the sticky situation.

So you hated it when Bush was in office, but now you "understand" it because Obama is there. Nope, not a hack.

There should not be any indefinite detention.  If you are holding terrorists and think they are a threat to national security, then you need to charge them as terrorists and present evidence and let the legal system figure it out.

I don't care who the president is.
